Chair for Energy Trading and Finance

Welcome to the webpage of the Chair for Energy Trading and Finance

Our main research areas are quantitative climate finance, risk management in the face of climate change for financial institutions and utilities, modeling of electricity markets, design, valuation and hedging of derivatives (renewable energy, electricity and credit-related), and methods of risk transfer and structuring of risk (securitization). We have collaborations with various academic and industrial partners, most notable with the University of Oslo, the London School of Economics and RWE Supply & Trading.

 

We offer courses and seminars, amongst others on quantitative climate finance, risk management, energy trading and financial mathematics. In collaborations with practitioners, we also engage in seminars and workshops with topics from quantitative climate finance and risk management for banks and insurance companies.
